El tequeño was born during the first decade of XX Century, when people from Caracas-Venezuela traveled for vacation to Los Teques City, in honor of tequeña cook who made it from the first time using left over pastry dough.

El tequeño is made by flour, butter, eggs, white cheese, salt and species. Basically you mix all these ingredients to create a dough, the cheese is cut in large pieces, then you create a roll with the dough and cheese or other fillings. Then you have to cook El Tequeño either frying or baked it. You can Tequeños as party snacks
